Courses

  • The Academy has two courses; Advanced Performance Course and Student Course. Individual lessons will be given for 40 minutes.

    • Advanced Performance Course: 4 one-to-one lessons.

    • Student Course: 2 one-to-one lessons.

    Students will be allowed to audit the lessons of other students. Practice room will also be provided.

Eligibility

Student
  • Advanced Performance Course (5 days): student or professional musician
  • Student Course (2 days): any musician who is junior high or high school student
Auditor
  • open to any person who is above 7 years old

* Students will be drawn from an international pool of applicants.
* Additionally, home-stay accommodations can be available for foreign students.

Application

Fill and submit the online application form including the audition video recording.

Upload the video to YouTube as “UNLISTED” and include the YouTube link in the application form. The title of YouTube must be applicant’s full name.

If you are unable to upload the video to YouTube, please e-mail the video data by an attachment file (file format must be MP4 file, no more than 25MB).

If you are unable to submit the video by either of YouTube link or e-mail, please send the DVD (Blue-ray discs are NOT acceptable) to the secretariat office by post. The submitted DVD will not be returned.

Audition video submission is only required for applicants for Student course.

For application and inquiry

Notification of results

All participants will be notified by return mail of their acceptance into the Academy by the end of June.

VISAS

If necessary, contestants are responsible for obtaining their own visas to enter Japan.
If necessary, Academy and Festival Office will issue an invitation letter upon request.
