The Hamamatsu International Wind Instrument Academy and Festival brings distinguished artists from all over the world together for six days of learning and magnificent music.

Requests to participants in the Hamamatsu International Wind Instrument Academy and Festival

This event will take following measures to provide a healthy and safe environment for all our participants. Your understanding and cooperation are much appreciated to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • Please arrive in plenty of time as practicing precautionary measures may take time at the entrance.
  • Wear your mask properly at all times. Make sure your mask covers your nose, mouth and chin. Observe cough etiquette. Guests not wearing a mask are not allowed to enter the facilities.
  • Wash your hands frequently, gargle thoroughly. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers installed at facilities. Make sure to sanitize your hands before playing the instruments.
  • Acrylic panels may be installed in lesson rooms in order to prevent airborne droplet dispersion.
  • Those with any of the following symptoms or circumstances will not be admitted. Please refrain from visiting the facilities.
    • A fever of 37.5℃ or higher, symptoms such as a cough, sore throat, or fever for several days.
    • Cold-like symptoms including a fever, cough, sneezing or sore throat, fatigue, trouble breathing, or other symptoms of illness.
    • Those who have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
    • Those who have traveled within the last 14 days to any countries and regions, where the government requires entry restrictions or a quarantine period after entry into Japan, or have had close contact with any residents of such countries or regions.
